I feel like when I started playing Devil May Cry as a teenager I've matured, I've grown new interests and hobbies, I've read more books and I'm a much more creative person now, and I have a lot higher expectations for games.

The story in Devil May Cry has not grown up. It's not clever, not funny, not witty, certainly not as cool as everyone once thought it was, and it feels like it was written by a bunch of Japanese businessmen who think they know what this 'COOL' thing is.

After getting through this game... I just feel fucking old. And miserable. >.>

Gameplay's fun.

I have not read the novels so I have no idea what they are about... I do like that they made the anime cannon though. That actually made me happy
