Whoa whoa whoa Warren, let's not say anything you can't take back! Besides, it's not like Derryl is going to add unnecessary scenes or populate certain areas with CGI aliens.

I might be a day late to say this, but while George Lucas might be infamous for his remakes, artists going back and remaking their work is quite common and often welcomed.

In games, how many times has resident evil been remade? HD remakes of old games like Crash Bandicoot are all over the place, are well done and well liked and help to preserve gaming history and introduce great games to new generations of players.

While reading web comics I often see an artist go back and redraw old work, often as an anniversary celebration, to show how far they had come. One of my favorite web comics, least I could do, started off as little more than stick figures and then over the years changed a lot. A couple of years back the guy who ran the web comic decided to go back and redo the entire beginning of the comic in the current style, as a fan I was sad to see part of the comics history erased, I still have to admit that the start of the comic looks a lot better and is even easier to read.

I might be over analyzing a simple joke, but I really don't like how going back and redoing your own work in a way that you like is seen as taboo because fans didn't like what George Lucas did to Star Wars

So Daz Keaty, if you want to do some work on your own creations, do so, and if some one tells you you can't, screw em, its your work, and you can make it however you want, to your satisfaction, nobody else gets a say
