In these civilized parts of the world, we call our waiter/ess over and politely ask them for the 'Bill'.

Thank goodness I've never had to shout across the room for it. Unfortunately, everyone over here in America refers to it as a check, which I have always questioned (and was apparently right to do so). Either way, I'm calling the waiter/ess over if I need the 'bill.'

I don't know what's funnier, that you keep mocking unspoken American traditions, or the fact that I've never actually seen them when I've lived in the U.S.A. my entire life.

Only reason that this comic exists is because this is a true story that happened to me while I was working in an Indian restaurant.

Also in America- us civilized people call over the waiter/ress and ask them quietly for the check.
